The ROME Target Builder (RTB) is the central tool for target system build and configuration. RTB simplifies the configuration process by providing configuration dialogs for the various components of a ROME system.
RTB works directory based. You can point RTB at your project directory containing your source code and it will scan and identify the components such as CPU plugins, modules, targets and messagesets and display them in a project tree where you can select and edit the properties of the components.
It also allows to create one or more build configuration files which are in turn used to generate a build directory tree. Within the build tree RTB generates include files and Makefiles according to the build configuration.
Recently, a new version of RTB has been released which reflects the changes in the build configuration mechanism. The older version of RTB is still available in the Download section, however, it does not support and will not work with the new configuration mechanism. It is highly recommended that you download and install the new version.
